Here are five quick tips increase your traffic using Twitter.
2. If your post is “timeless” meaning you have a written a piece that isn’t about a current event or current sale, there is no reason not to tweet it again in a day, a week, a month, or a year from it’s original date. Twitter moves quickly and some of your followers could have easily missed that awesome piece of knowledge you shared. Plus as you gain followers, your older posts are new to them!
3. Make friends! I have ladies I tag in posts and they do the same for me. It gets our names out there to people that aren’t on each others lists.
4. Use that @ sign when you make a post about a company. I tweeted about a post I did about frozen drinks using Mike’s Hard Lemonade. I tagged Mike’s in a post and they stopped by and left a comment on my blog, sent me a very nice email and if that wasn’t enough they also retweeted my tweet.
5. Remember that nothing is really about you, it’s about what your content can do for someone else. Always tweet with that in mind. Which one of the following would be more interesting to you. Now it’s confession time! For quite awhile I didn’t with Twitter but I eventually start to learn and see the amount of traffic that came from there and as I increased my efforts using it my traffic from Twitter began to grow. Take some time, tweaking those tweets. Figuring out the best time of day to post and don’t forget to keep your reader in mind when composing those tweets.
