Perplexus Original 3D Maze Review

My daughter Wendy concentrating on getting that little ball through the maze.

I was recently sent a Perplexus Original to review.  I no sooner got the box  in the house when along came my thirteen year old who didn’t even let me get it out of the packaging before he snagged it.  He quickly took it out of the package mumbled some questions and plopped down on the couch and started playing with it.

The bright colors enclosed in the clear ball are just so attractive you can’t help but want to pick up the Perplexus and start playing with it.  Now, that could be just my opinion so, in order to test my theory I set the ball on the stand that it comes with on our bar between the kitchen and family room and sat back watched the “simply irresistible magic” of the Perplexus ball.

You see, I have five children who range in age from 19 to 11, it’s summer break, and that means lots of friends over.  I don’t think I saw one person that didn’t come along and pick it up to start playing with it.  I’ve even had to hunt the ball down to return it to it’s perch on the bar area.  And it wasn’t just kids picking it up either!  My adult friends just had to play with it along with my own mom who even took the time to whip out her glasses. My theory was proven time and again. I would imagine that over 30 people have played with it. Those that have come over on more than one occasion have picked it up again and again.  The conclusion is that the Perplexus is simply mesmerizing.

As for the mom in me I love it because the Perplexus:

  • is entertaining
  • is durable
  • builds motor skills
  • exercises the brain
  • doesn’t make a mess
  • doesn’t take batteries (big huge plus)

I consider this an excellent gift for children young and “old”. And yes, I played with it too.

Perplexus giveaway coming soon!
